About

Hi-ya!

Thanks for stopping by to learn a little more about me and the blog! It's very nice of you!

About Me

If you haven't gathered from the little blurb to the right, my name is Sophie. I'm in my late twenties (not as shocking or upsetting as I would have thought) and during the day I am a Nanny.

Not the Fran Fine kind of nanny - while I was a live-in Nanny like for a number of years, I could never pull off the outfits that she did. Plus it's very hard to copy her iconic voice. I also never fell in love and married my very wealthy boss. Otherwise, things are pretty similar. I care and nurture tiny humans and ensure that they are learning about the world and the things they need to know.

When I'm not working, I'm usually studying a degree in Psychology where I'm majoring in child development. When I need a break from that, you can find me on the computer playing the Sims 4 or on the PS4 playing something.

When I'm not writing on here you can probably find me on my other blog The Bulletin Board. I can't remember a time when I haven't had something to do with crime TV or True Crime in my life. Whether it's my love for the TV Show Criminal Minds or listening to a True Crime Podcast, my life has had elements of this genre in it - something which I both blame and thank my mother for. Which is my main inspiration for creating a True Crime focused blog.

More recently I've become a first time Mum and the journey of raising my daughter AJ with my partner, T, and our two dogs, Arlo and Daphne, is now something that I am writing about on here. It's still very new but I've found that while in many ways my life hasn't changed, there are some differences now that I'm a Mum and that is a path worth sharing.

About the Blog

Le Giggler was a name that my partner T came up for me. I am a giggler. It's just who I am and one day he made the comment that if I was a villian in a comic book I would be called Le Giggler. The name has just stuck with me and when I was trying to work out what to call this blog it just made sense to use it.

I've been a nanny for nearly ten years and I've been wanting to share some of the knowledge that I have learned during that time with others who might be interested. I really enjoy learning about child development and using what I know to help the parents that I work with.

Originally that's what I wanted PsychNanny to be kind of, but the more I looked at it I realised that I started it off completely off that topic and I didn't think that I would be able to start going down that road. Which is why I decided to begin again.

Le Giggler is a blog about child development, activity ideas and other personal things that I wish to share with you all as time goes on. I'm able to talk about these things very freely in everyday life so it makes sense that I focus on these in my blog instead of trying to force myself to talk about things I have no idea about.
